Before I left my former employer, I was able to "rescue" an air compressor from the recycling bin. It was used in a dehydrator. I'm wondering if I can use it for various air needs (mainly topping up car tires when necessary).

The tech document has the following chart. I *THINK* I'd be able to use it, but would like a second (or 3rd/4th/etc) opinion...

There is no tank, it's just the compressor itself. Would I have to add a tank to it?

I think it depends on how you plan to use it and the total demand for air. Inflating a tire probably doesn't need an air tank reservoir. However, when contractors were working on my house using various pneumatic tools, they did have an air compressor with a tank. I assume this was to keep up with the demand for air and supply a constant pressure to the tools. I noticed the compressor would periodically cycle on/off to refill the tank.

No tank needed to top off a tire. They just take a good while longer.

Uh no way. Although I can change batteries if needed. DH can do amazing things but only at work. lol. …never at home. The short story of my life.
