Anyone make their own laundry detergent?

I have been looking at all the frugal living website and people really seem to be very pleased with the results of making their own laundry detergent. Does anyone here make their own? The difference in cost is AMAZING, so I figure it can not hurt to try it (looks like it costs between .01-.04 per load).

There are a couple of different recipes, but they pretty much all include: water, Fels Naptha Soap, Washing Sode, Borax

Detergent is cheap at Sams Club and places like that. I don't think you would save that much making your own especially if you consider the mess/inconvenience.

the average cost of commercial laundry detergent is $.30 per load.

Time is money. I'd rather spend the extra $.25 per laundry load than spend the time to make detergent from naptha soap.
