Prime Time is one of our favorite restaurants. (Our kids kinda' like it -- but they don't totally "get it.") But my wife and I LOVE getting their early (especially on a hot day) having a couple of cold beers and checking out the old tv's, radios, coffee tables and rest of our childhood living rooms. Anybody else?

Same here...Kids start to get bored waiting but the adults don't mind because we get an adult beverage ;) and check things out! I get a martini and I feel like I am in one of those old time shows!! In Feb. I wanted to go behind the kitchen set but figured I would have set the kiddies off and I don't thing PT would be happy with that!

I here you!! It's the nostalgia, reminds me of my grandma's kitchen:lovestruc
Prime Time is one of my absolute favorites:thumbsup2

My last trip with my DD who was 20 at the time was the best time EVER!! She get "teased" almost non-stop. She did know ahead of time what goes on there and went along with it. I'll just say the my sister and I almost broke a rib during that lunch & it will be a for-ever :wizard: memory!!

Honestly, I really don't like it. I don't care for the decor or anything. I never cared much for my grandmother's house, and maybe that's why...the furniture et al. remind me of my grandmother's house. Just not my thing.

On the other hand, my MIL *loves* it. :confused3

Love it, Love it! That little bar area is great. Fun to stop in at anytime for a break. Our kids loved Sci Fi when they were younger but they really prefer 50s now that they are older (14, 17). They love seeing all their "cousins", "aunts/uncles" and especially when they are reprimanded for their "bad manners" or poor food choices!

I love it!! Last year one of the hostesses handed my then 17 year-old son a feather duster and told him to start dusting while he waited to be seated. The look on his face was priceless but he did dust!!! :rotfl2:

We love it, too! I've seen so many knick knacks at 50's PT that I remember in my grandparents' and aunts/uncles houses. My mom still has some of the stuff. I love watching the old tv shows and the coziness of the kitchen tables. It embodies such a happy and innocent time. It's a must do for us every trip.

I love it too.....my husband and I usually snag a seat at the bar although the kids arent really too thrilled.

I won't say I love waiting (ever), but I will admit I enjoy looking around in there. We've never waited more than a few minutes there, and I always feel a little cheated and wish there was a bit more of a wait. Very strange for me!

I love it! It is nice to sit and relax while waiting for a table at my face Disney restaurant.
Even if they do make me do chores. :laundy:

My kids were being beasts when we were there, so I didn't get to enjoy it that much. I just remember we were arguing a lot and I was huge and PG and my kids were fighting with me over a seat and then my DH got into it. I just wanted to sit and be left alone at that point.

Maybe next time will be better.

Love 50's bar! We don't wait for a table we eat there when there is room. I wish it was bigger. Sometimes there isn't room to eat but we still get our drinks to go!

One of our favorites, except my SonIL hates it. We are going without him and his family. They are going to the Brown Derby that evening. Several people have said it reminds them of their Grandmas house, well I am showing my age now becasue it reminds me of the house I grew up in with my Mom and Dad.

HaHa :rotfl: Thanks for saying it first. I was thinking the same thing but didn't want to put it in writing!

I love that place and look forward to the day when DH and I can settle in at the bar for our meal. Now, we wait for a table with our young kids.

I really like the decor....it's so fun, especially at Christmas time. The living room looks just like my G-mom's with her Christmas tree. We've never had lively waiters and I kind of like it that way. I'd rather laugh at another table vs. thinking about what's going to happen next.

The coolest thing our first time there - we got a table with a TV, those are sort of a self-contained kitchen tableau. We look up and there's my canister set that I got from my mother, from the late 50's! I have a couple pieces that they don't have so I've always wondered if I can "donate" the pieces they're missing. I would love to be able to contribute a prop to Disney.

My DD loves it there. She had me add a lunch reservation during our upcoming trip since we haven't been there since Feb '10. We all agreed it was a good idea.
