Hey there!
Headed to WDW for an anniversary trip :cool1: And we are going to buy Premier Annual Passes at DL before we go.
Questions:
1. Has anyone recently linked a PAP to My Disney Experience
2. Any difficulties?
3. Did you have an issue using Magic Bands (not recognizing FPs or ADRs)?

Just trying to make our first trip to the parks as stress free as possible!

Thank You!

The bottom line - yes, you can do it. However, the two ticketing systems don't talk to each other. Therefore, Disneyland has to contact Disney World to enter your ticket information into their database. Once that it done, you will be enter your ticket number into My Disney Experience. Note - enter the 12 digit number that's on the lower right-hand corner of your pass. It looks like this: 1234 1234 1234.

My family did this last November! There were a couple things we had to do to get our PAP working in WDW. Since we got our PAP at DL, we still had to go to Guest Relations in WDW to get a PAP that worked with their system. I think there is a special chip that is in the WDW passes that is not in the DL passes. We didn’t have to pay anything extra; they just switched the cards. Once we did this, we added this new card number to My Disney Experience. BUT the CMs at WDW told us not to link our PAP with our Magic Band so we used our PAP instead of the Magic Bands. I guess it was still new and was not linking properly.

This was our experience and things might have changed so I would ask a CM in WDW just to be sure.

I bought my latest on New Years Eve at Disneyland. Within 30 min if buying I was having a late dinner, about 10PM local time and linked the pass to MDE with zero problems. When I showed up to WDW in Feb my Magicband worked with zero problems. So that's my experience. Sent from my iPhone 5 using DISBoards

Things have changed...the Premiers are now the same at both parks, so your DLR one has an RFID chip already, no need to get a new one.

I had no problems on my Feb trip with the AP, MB, or FP+ related to having bought the pass in anaheim.

Thank you for all the replies. Seems like things may be working a little more smoothly now. Hopefully in Sept there won't be any issues!
