We will be @ POR around dinner time, and I was wondering what others think about eating Dinner @ Boatwright's? I've only eaten breakfast here. :)

I'm moving this one to the general restaurant board.

We ate there last year........overrated and won't go back. slow service, cold food, and nothing special!

I really enjoyed my steak at Boatwrights, and the wonderful bread, but that was a dinner eaten, oh, 3 or 4 years ago, so I guess it may have changed!

I did eat breakfast there this past May, and was not particularly impressed, though it was good... just not special. I ordered the famed banana stuffed french toast and thought it tasted like over cooked vegetable oil and not much other flavor. Maybe I just don't like deep fried french toast.

I had a decent slice of Prime Rib there and I think DH had ribs.

We loved it back in '05 when we stayed at POR. I still have cravings for their jambalaya. LOL. We'll be back in Jan '08 at POFQ, and we're definately planning on another dinner at Boatwrights!

Boarwrights is overpriced for the quality of food, which I didn't think is very good. I would definitely spend my money somewhere else...even the counter service place has decent food for the money.

We were there for our final dinner this past Saturday night and it was by far the worse meal we had the entire trip. The prime rib was fat and grizzle, the appetizers were very small and my husband hated the potatos. The only thing he liked was the pecan pie. Also, they gave us a beeper for when our table was ready. After waiting 45 minutes, my husband went to check on how much longer until we would be seated (it was not 8:45 at night). They said they paged us at 8:15 p.m. However, because it was so crowded we were sitting right outside the door on the benches. No one ever came out to announce names and it turns out our beeper (and two other couples) were not working. We will not go back.

We go there quite a bit for dinner and usually have either the prime rib or pot roast. We enjoy it and would recommend it to others.

We ate there in August and they had just changed the menu. There was nothing special about our meal. It really was over-priced food court food IMO.

another vote for the pot roast. we had this as our last meal on property last year. We were on the dining plan that trip, so we ate at several hight end (much talked about) restaurants, inculding LeCelier.

i can tell you that out of all the meals we had that trip (and a a few others) that pot roast at boatwrights was by far the best meal we have had while on a WDW vacation. (a little on the salty side, but it love that)

can't wait to try that place again.

We often have dinner at Boatwright's and always enjoy it. We also enjoy their breakfast.
