DH needs distilled water for C-Pap machine. ALready called DCL and they do not have any for him. Anyone know of a way we can get some distilled water on board? :confused3

We are taking the DCL transfers to the port on Saturday morning, so no way for us to stop and buy some. (Unless driver accepts a bribe) :teeth:

We are flying in on Friday morning but we are staying at the Hyatt Airport (Orlando) and will not have access to a car to go shopping with. Taxi too expensive to buy a $2.00 bottle of distilled water. :sad2:

You can tell we really thought about this. Any other ideas?

Thanks,
First Timers!! :flower:

Is it possible to bring some in a carry on bag?..

Also I dont know what cruise you are on, but I am sure you can purchase some at your first port..

Odd, I was told that ALL the water on the ship is distilled and filtered. It just isn't in a bottle.
How much can you bring in your carry on?

Will DCL obtain it for you with a medical form? I know that they provided some special food for a friend with many severe allergies. It might be a different answer from "do they have it on board" to "can it be supplied with the medical documentation of necessity."

It is possible to ship a box to the port ahead of time...rather expensive for a gallon of water.

I'd go back to calling DCL and telling them of the medical necessity. Talk to a supervisor if necessary. Be sure to tell them that you will send the medical form. They really should be able to provide this.

Hi! :)

My DH also uses a c-pap machine and we were told the same thing kcashner, that ALL the water on the ship is basically distilled because of the process they use to clean/filter it. We've used the ship's water on RCI cruises and DCL cruise, and did not have a problem. Hope this helps :)

Terry....do you mean the water from the faucet in the bathroom may be distilled?

We did already fax over his medical form to DCL when we initially asked for the distilled water. If the faucet water is good enough, then we already have a solution.

I know there are many out there with a C-Pap. Just wondering what you all used.

Thanks so much for all the ideas!! I knew I'd get an answer here!! :flower:

My DM and I cruised on the Wonder in April. I had e-mailed DCL to see if distilled water was available for DM's C-Pap and was told to submit another medical form ( we had already sent one when we booked in Sept.) They then notified me that a bottle would be in our stateroom when we arrived. It wasn't there but guest relations took care of it and it was in the room before bedtime. No extra chage either! The CM had to call the medical dept. to get it and all of the paperwork was there.
