Anyone know why there is no fireworks show listed for December 23-29th at MK?

We are planning a christmas trip to Disney World for Dec 27-Jan 4th since these are the only dates my wife(a teacher) can do. We are trying to figure out what Christmas type stuff will be going on for the days after the christmas parties are done and after christmas day. I know they do the Christmas parade at the MK in the Afternoons but not evenings. I thought it was odd they don't list Happily Ever After after the last Christmas Party on the 22nd there looks like theres no firework or night show until New Years Eve. Anyone else know what disney did last year for the time after Christmas Day to New Years Eve?

They will be showing Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks at 10 pm over that period.

It’s confusing on Disney’s website as this info isn’t in some of the more common calendars and is tough to find, but from from 12/23-12/29 they will be running Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks (the same show as the new MVMCP fireworks this year) at 10pm nightly.

Fantasy in the Sky will be at 6:30pm and 11:50pm on 12/30 and 12/31.

Then back to HEA on 1/1.

WOW really? :) Thats awesome! Do you know if they will also be doing the show in front of the castle on stage?

They do the “A Frozen Holiday Wish” castle lighting show nightly (if that’s what you mean), I believe at 6:15pm if I’m not mistaken (I need to check on that though).

OKay good to know! I meant the holiday show with all the characters but I'm pretty sure thats for the Christmas Party only I guess

Yes, I should have added that it's back to HEA in Jan. This is going to be amazing:
Minnie's fireworks - new
Epcot Forever - new
Fantasy in the Sky - amazing
Epcot NYE fireworks - amazing
HEA - amazing

I love fireworks and can't wait for our Xmas/NYE trip. We will be park hopping to MK or Epcot almost every night to catch the fireworks.

Actually, just checked last year’s Times Guide. “Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration” is listed nightly at various times - so I guess they did last year. Not sure if that info is published yet this year. Here’s last year’s Times Guide for reference:

We are excited too!! Epcot forever looks like it might interest us more than Illuminations did. I'm nervous for how crowded new years eve will be at the MK.

wow! this is just great!! We loved this Show! They probably wait to publish this so more people plan to go to the MVMCP instead.

Yes, it will be insane. We are doing the dessert party for the early show at MK on 12/30 and again on 12/31. Priceless to be able to watch the show without having to battle the crowds. On 12/30 we are staying for the midnight show at MK and on 12/31, after the early MK fireworks, we are hopping over to Epcot for the midnight countdown.

One caveat about the Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks that run Christmas week. Last year they did not do the “perimeter” part of Holiday Wishes during Christmas week. Assuming the new show has a perimeter component (or partial perimeter component as does the new MNSSHP show), probably a TBD if that part runs during the Christmas week shows or not.

Yes, they will also have A Frozen Holiday Wish, Mickey's Most Merriest Celebration at the castle stage and Totally Tomorrowland Christmas at the stage in Tomorrowland. These shows will be running daily from the day after the last MVMCP through NYE.
MK will have both Christmas fireworks and NYE fireworks on 12/30 and 12/31. It's crazy busy at MK on NYE, so we go to MK on 12/30 to see these. Epcot had a holiday tag ending to Illuminations during the Christmas season, so I'm hoping and assuming they do the same with the new epcot fireworks this year. On NYE, epcot in the past showed the holiday tag ending earlier in the evening and then had an amazing NYE ending at midnight (starts 11:40pm-ish). Again, I'm assuming they'll do similar this year. We did epcot on NYE for the first time last year and it awesome! We plan to do it again this year.
The DJ dance party in China pavilion on NYE was so cool! We're typically not "dance party people", but it was fun to hang out here for awhile with our kids. Music, fireballs, "smoking" dragon! We grabbed a snack and enjoyed the party atmosphere.

Just FYI, while I know they did it in the past, this is not what they have done the last two years. Rather, it has been the same Fantasy in the Sky show for both the 6:30pm and 11:50pm showtimes - the only difference is the 6:30pm show is “180 degrees” and the 11:50pm is “360 degrees.”

Had to double check, as I booked dessert parties for the 6:30 show both days assuming it would be Fantasy in the Sky and not Minnie's fireworks. They do indeed have Fantasy in the Sky scheduled twice on 12/30 and again on 12/31. Phew!

I'm sorry I didn't respond earlier, got lost in the shuffle. Hope this helps.
