Anyone know where we can watch the football??

I cant believe i'm asking this, but apparently its really a really important cup thingy game going on while were in Orlando

Anyway so he's asked me to ask my 'disney guys' (I think thats you...!! ) that im always talking to if there is anywhere close by to where we are staying that will be showing the games?

I think they are on Tuesday 24th semi finals of european cup?

We are staying at the Emerald Island resort.

If anyone has any info im sure that will make him very happy, and im sure will score me lots of brownie points

Hi,

There are a few British type pubs down the 192, think 'Rovers return', 'Coconut Willies' and possibly 'Harry Ramsbottoms' may all show live football.
CW definitely did last August (just a few yards past the Poinciana Boulevard junction), a big red bus outside so you cannot miss it!

Also the Cricketer's Arms pub at the Mercado on I drive used to (not sure they still do), but you have to pay to even get in there when a match is on.

Front Row sports bar on I drive also may show it and ESPN Sports Bar at the Boardwalk may too (THE best sports bar in Orlando).
Best checking a day or two in advance when you are out there.

The Champions League games are all live on ESPN2, which means they will be on anywhere that has a TV (including your hotel room!). Also, as it's ESPN2 (a free-to-air channel), nowhere should be charging an admission fee. All the places Johnny mentions will definitely have the game on. Best of British Soccer World on I-Drive makes a big effort for the big games, as does Friday's Front Row just further up I-Drive. The Cricketers is still open at The Mercado (until May, when it moves to Festival Bay), while we have watched Champions League games at the ESPN Club at The Boardwalk in the past, and that usually draws a crowd. Finally, any Orlando Ale House has a million TVs and will always be showing the live sport!

I have caught bits of the games this week on ESPN in our hotel room, Liverpool was on today and Man U yesterday.

well im a former tourist and now a local, from Canterbury kent, and now live 2 min behind the Magic Kingdom.

My best friend and also the best man at my wedding is the owner of the Rovers Return and they always have any big matches on there big screen TV.

Kids are allowed in during the day, they are nice people and the staff are great. If you get there and its not on, just ask the person behind the bar to put it on, tell him what the game is etc and just tell then Nick sent you and they will look after you.

If its on a weekday with the exception of Mon and Fri, the owner works behind the bar, his name is Glenn. Just tell him Nick sent you and recommended it to you and they will look after you

Ok get onto 192 and head east, if your coming from I 4 go past the 535 exit and keep going, go past Wal-mart on the right, after the walmart trafic lights you want to go over i think its 2 or 3 sets of lights, and the rovers is on the right hand side. You will see it because its the small white and green building with the big Union Jack sign outside.

Let me know what day and date it is cos ill probably be in there with my wife if its on a weekend.

Just to let you know sometimes for some big games there may be a charge, but im not sure what it is or for which games, but i know for some big FA cup games they charge.
