I tried Google but I didn't get anything back, so I was curious if anyone knew where this came from.

"Just keep you towel handy and be a frude dude."

A professor said it today and bet us that no one knew where it came from. No one did and now I'm curious!

Anyone? :confused3

That professor is one hoopy frood who really knows where his towel is.

It is, indeed, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. And they never used the word "dude" in the books, if he really said it that way.

I sure loved that series...what great books!

So, it actually means, be ready (have your towel handy) and be cool (be a frude dude)

Very funnny books.

Have a nice diurnal anomoly.

Thanks! I saw that movie in theatres.... so a long time ago!
