Anyone know when the new $85 offer expires?

I guess it's a two part question - how long do we have to book it and how long to use it? I know on previous Universal offers, they said "purchase by August 20th" or whatever - I don't see that anywhere which makes me fear it may go away any time! Also, I'm planning to visit next August - is it good then or is this another 2006 only one? Thanks for any help!

I bought my family tickets last week when the offer first came out and we are going July 2007. I called the contact phone number on the universal orlando website and they said the tickets expire 7 days from when you first start using them. So I say get them at that price while they are still having this offer.

I also called them yesterday and they informed me that they were good until 7 days from your first use, whenever that was. So I went ahead and bought them online. Only weird thing is that the only shipping option was picking them up at the park with the same credit card you used and the confirmation number they gave you. If you're not going for awhile, you'll need to make sure you keep track of what credit card you used (and it doesn't expire) and that confirmation number!

I keep thinking I'll go ahead and buy them. And then I remember that earlier this year, our credit card information was compromised and our bank had to send us new cards (nothing happened to our account, the bank just felt it was safer to send out new cards). I'm sure that if this happened, I could go to guest services and get my tickets, but that would take time that I could be touring.

So I keep sitting on it; hopefully I'll take the plunge before the offer ends. We're going June 8-9, 2007.

Yes. I was familiar with this set-up as it's what Fandango uses at my local movie theatre...e.g., you order your tickets online, then have to print them out at the theater using your confirmation # and credit card.

I bought tickets ($85 for 5 days) in July 06 for an August 06 trip, and I was glad I did...Universal just pulled the offer without warning about two days after my purchase. If I'd waited, I would have paid a BOATLOAD more. It's a hassle to keep track of this stuff, but the savings are worth it.
