I know DH and I want to go Feb 11-19, I'd like to see prices for the resorts, but when I put in dates it says only booking until 12/2010. Do I have to wait until 6 months before to start planning?
Also, anyone know of anything going on in February I should be warned of? We are flexible on dates if something is affecting it (such as pop warner, weather, peak season etc) and we are hoping to stay at Port Orleans Riverside. Thanks for any input!! :goodvibes

You can look up the prices for this year to give you some idea of the prices. The Disney site will also list them by value and peak season so you will know when the cheaper time is to go. You can book a room only now by calling Disney reservations...they will charge you one night at the most expensive rate then send you a corrected invoice sometime in August once the rates for next year are released. If you want to book a package you will need to wait until Disney releases their prices for next year...usually the first or second week in August.

My huband and I are going the end of January 2011 and have our room booked already!!

Thank you so much! Where are you staying in January? The time will fly and it'll be here before you know it!! :woohoo:

We went the first week in February this year and stayed at the Contemporary Club Level...we loved it so much that we are going back to the Contemporary the last week in January just before my annual pass runs out :-)

We have a room booked for the first week in Feb., but now we need to shift the dates to Feb.9-13. I'm hoping that those dates will still fall under the Value Season, but I'm just not sure since President's Day falls later than usual (not until the 21st).

I'm also interested in knowing what the weather is like in early Feb. We traveled in Jan. a couple of times and it was so COLD (rainy, too).

Any thoughts on Feb in general? We are debating between April 15-22, OR Feb. 17-25. Never been in Feb, and the thought of freezing down in Fla scares me. Is it really crowded and cold? Any veteran Feb travelers have some good opinions? This is the only Feb 2011 thread I could find so sorry to hijack it:goodvibes

Are you booking on your own or with a TA?. For my 2006 and 2008 I booked at 9 and 11 months in advance when we were going Thanksgiving day thru following Saturday.

We are booked for Feb 17-26. We are DVC members so we've been booked since March when the 11 month window opened for booking.

DW and I started planning our next trip in January 2011 pretty much the day after we got back from our last trip.

We usually start with hotel and dining research, look up activities, past weather information, local area stuff like grocery stores and places outside the parks to visit. Next year we are also planning on visiting Universal so we're working out the days we'll be in Disney and the days for Universal.

There's a lot you can do to start planning. And of course if you ever have questions that you can't find the answer for, you have the DISboards here. :thumbsup2
