Anyone know when Airtran will release the rest of December?

I'm strongly considering flying Airtran this year instead of SW. It's closer to my house by 2 hours. I've always been a little worried about them moving my flight times around and we are just used to flying out of Midway (Chicago) even though we have been living in Central Illinois for the past 3 years. I think it's time for us to go Airtran and save the time and aggravation. Does anyone know when they will release December 18th and beyond?

they normally release them around the end of the month to the beginning of the next. We booked our flight down already but not the flight home. Also check periodically before booking, we got a 7am flight from BWI to MCO for $59 one way. It started at $90 when they first came out, but after checking periodically one Thursday it was $59. Now if only the flight home would be the cheap. Will keep fingers crossed.

The first few days, you will only see the higher fares. It takes a few days to load the lower fares.

Then watch the fares go up and down.... it seems that they are posted higher from Friday through Monday. My theory is that is when families are typically home and they can discuss their trip and book the airfare together.

From Tuesday to Thursday, the fares drop down and they are the lowest very early in the morning.

From instance, last year, I traveled with two other friends. I booked mine at 6:00 am on a Tuesday, the minute I got into the office. By the time I called my friends, and they booked their flight at lunchtime, it had gone up about $30.00.

Give it a try!
