I don't have a picture, I'll just describe what I'm trying to find:

The back door to my patio is a "single french door" (don't even know if that's the right name  ) It has a large window with about 10 window panes in it.

The sun sets on that side of the house & in the late afternoon/early evening the sun just beats in the house.

I am looking for some kind of sheer or semi-sheer curtain to put there but it has to be on a rod on both the top & bottom. I don't want it to hang loose. I still want to be able to see out the window so I don't want a solid curtain, & I don't want a shade because it will "slap" around when the door is opened & closed (which is a lot)

Does anyone know what the name of this type of sheer/curtain is? I looked on the JCPenney site but couldn't find anything yet.

TIA! :)

I don't know what it is called, but we have one of those. It is on really thin rods that are tension mounted.

You may have to have one made...we did, it was about 40 dollars or so.

I had a door like that! I don't remember the name of it offhand. I called it a panel. I got mine (sheer) at Wal-Mart. It was very inexpensive. Had the seam thing at the top and the bottom for the rod. If you go to Target or Wal-Mart you can just look at the pictures on the packages and get what you need.
(Make sure you take your measurements!) It looked very nice.

I had a metal door that was painted white. They even had the magnetic rods that attached to the door at the top and bottom at Wal-Mart. Looked like the kind for a wood door. It did the trick!

The rods you are referring to are called Cafe Rods and you can find them at JCPenney or Target fairly inexpensive. You will also be able to find the sheer panel you need at Penneys. The Lisette sheers are great and not expensive and will give you the look you want! :flower:

Wow, so many responses - so quick!! I knew I could count on the DISers! Thanks guys! :goodvibes
