Anyone know what happened to Horizons...

Years ago I remember going on Horizons at Epcot. Anyone remember it? Anyone have any idea what happened to it?

I got blown up to make room for Mission: SPACE. I don't think it's been open at all since around the time Test Track started previewing, so it just sat there for several years before meeting its fate.

I have good memories of that ride.
Like was already mentioned, it got dismantled to make a spot for
Mission Space.

It "ran" until they closed it to tear down the building.
It didn't "sit" for very long at all.

"Ran down" more like. It was old technology -- expensive to maintain.

I remember it still running when Test Track was up and running too.

And it wasn't as much "blown up" but rather rammed with a wrecking ball

It was definitely one of my all-time favorite WDW rides!

It was a great ride and may people's favorite ride at Epcot right until the moment it closed. Hardly run down.

My favorite ride in Epcot. I miss all of the old Epcot...its just not the same as it was when I first went. Sorry, but I can do without both M:S and TT. I'd rather have Horizons and WoM back!

I loved Horizons ! and World of Motion too! And am very sorry to see the state of Wonders of Life.

While we are big fans of both TT & MS and are glad to have them, given the choice, I would have much rather seen them demolish Living Seas (sorry!) & Energy to make room for them instead of Horizons & WofM. JMO.

Anybody else miss Communicore? Don't even want to get started about the original Imagination.

Something happened to Horizons? You mean it won't be open when hit EPCOT in a few weeks? Bummer. Guess we'll just have to spend more time riding the Sea Cabs and enjoying the "Life" pavillion....
