I just wanted to thank those who have offered well wishes for me and my granddaughter. She was having a hard time at first, but is doing ok now. There was an entire room full of guests, many of them children, and my prayers have been with them as well.

It's just hard to think someone could die at the happiest place on earth! Is the Biergarden back in full swing yet?? How is that band doing? I can't imaging going back to work without another band member. Did they have several bands that preformed there?? We have never eaten there and we are looking forward to eating there in a couple of weeks.

The story was worse in the beginning, but just got even more worse! My prayers and thoughts go out to the family?!?

Does anyone know if the Biergarten will be continuing after all this mess is over?!? My family and I LOVE this place!!!

that poor family. Having to deal with a sick family member, getting a phone call your son died, dealing with that news only to receive another phone call your father passed. prayers being sent to the family.

I just can't imagine losing a son and a husband in one day. Even though her husband was sick and in hospice, that's too much for one woman to bear.

The poor wife of the son, losing both her father in law and her husband, and her SONS! Losing Daddy and Grandpa. (I am guessing the sons may be younger, because he'd just been married for 6 years. They could be sons from a prior marriage, but neither of the sons is married yet either, so I think they may be young.

it was a bit of a shock to learn i knew the dad from years ago (he owned the stationary store in my town, for years (small town, where the store owners know everyone, & greet ppl by name). his son was there sometimes also).

it's so sad....they were really good people...

The whole family is in my thoughts. I have eaten at Biergarten on my last 4 trips and am planning on going again on my next trip. The band always added to the ambience and were always very entertaining. I do hope they continue with the entertainment. It is one of my reasons for going besides the excellent food.
