Anyone know the distance around Bay Lake between BC and Boardwalk?

We are traveling to WDW again in October, and I was wondering if anyone knows the distance around the two bridges between Boardwalk and Beach/Yacht Club? It seems to be a nice walk for exercise in the morning/evening.

I'm going to guess here.....but I know that the distance from BCV to the BW dock is about a 1/2 mile. So all the way around the lake I would say is about a mile.

A few years ago, Caskbill took a GPS unit with him on vacation. He measured the distance around Crescent Lake (Bay Lake is the one that the WL & Fort Wilderness and the CR overlook) to be 0.79 mile - or as the previous poster said 8/10.

Yes that is correct. We took a bike ride around Cresent Lake and the little leaflet we were given said 8/10th of a mile.

I asked ms when I made a reservation therre and it is .8 miles.

From the Pier entrance at BWV, if you walk in a clockwise direction (walk toward Swan/Dolphin), the distance to the entrance to the dock at BCV is 0.35 miles.

If you walk from BWV to the BCV dock in a counter clockwise direction, (heading the Epcot way), the distance is 0.44 miles.

The total distance all the way around the lake is 0.79 miles, or rounded to 8/10 mile.

When we measured it, we walked right down the centerline of the walkways. If you walked closest to the water it'd be a little shorter since you'd be walking a slightly smaller circle..

If you take the route around Bay Lake it's probably about 12 miles or so I'd guess.

Sorry, when I saw Bay Lake and BWV/BC mentioned in the same subject, it got the better of my curiosity!

But of course it is longer at that time! I think it has something to do with a straight line.

See, that's what I get for sending off an e-mail just before logging off the computer. My bad---I know my Disney lakes better than that! Anyway, thanks for the feedback. As a recently diagnosed diabetic, walking as exercise has a whole new meaning for me, and I truly enjoyed my brisk walks around the lake, but I wasn't sure how much distance I was logging. Swimming the opposite direction in the lazy river at SAB was a big calorie burner, too! In fact, I lost three pounds while on vacation. And, that was after sharing two No Way Joses with my hubby (and various bites of bread pudding at Raglan Road and Ohana)!
