Anyone know of timeshare promotions??

Before we purchased recently near WDW, we stayed in all the resorts over the last 18 years and last couple times before our home was built, we did timeshares, more room/cheaper*

We did WestgateResorts.com
The Highrise(towers) near Universal is nice, last April did 7 days 2 bed unit full kitchen pull out leather couch/3 tv's, 2 full baths/granite/washer dryer (stacked) for 480.00 it's pre pay up front but much cheaper than on site!
YOU tell them what you want, and you want to SPEND CHEAP but want nice accomodations. I was in the travel industry for years.......so the insight helped me.....so I am passing it on.
There is also Mariott/Sheraton contact them directly, tell them you want to do a timeshare tour for a reduced rate. FL law is now on consumer side you only have to stay the 90 minutes and then have them sign off on your sheet and off you go. We also did Marriott timeshare last Feb. CHEAP< too 349.00 for the week (pay upfront) 1 bedroom suite/full bath/mini kitchen, over looking the 3 pools, near Sea World. New Property, Marriott Grand Vista, NICE place.
We skipped the free (horrible) breakfast, did all the earliest morning tours 730am, our kids slept, yes them to death and keep telling them you aren't buying* and your there for a budget vacation!

Keep in mind, they want to sell, but let them know up front you are there for a BUDGET VACATION.:wizard:
I would recommend this type of travel to anyone.
With the growth of properties in the Orlando area, there is so much competition and you have to let them know you know what you want, what you want to spend, don't be a pushover.

Good luck.
You'll have fun, we couldn't believe 100's of families travel like this----------
there are LINES and LINES of people who check in........don't let anyone kid you, everyone has done it, or will do it!
And why not, that's how we went for a few years after stop staying on property, we got to go 3-4 times a year, now we own a 2nd home in WDW.

Have fun!
Enjoy!

Hope I was able to help!
any other questions, feel free to contact me.

Yeah, I just played golf at Mystic Dunes last month. There were 100s of people there getting timeshare tours. The really bad part..they were driving them all around the greens telling them (very loudly) how great their championship golf course is. Let me tell you...when you pay $150 to play a round of golf on a championship golf course you don't want loud people chatting around the greens when you're trying to play golf... we kept telling the guy "shhh" and he started yelling at us...we had to call the ranger on him. Yeah, I know you want to sell timeshares...but let me tell you, the golfers who play here aren't going to come back again if you don't shut up around the greens...you're supposed to be QUIIIET around a PGA level golf course.

OK... I just had to get that off my chest I feel better now! hehe

I don't play golf--------------not yet........but will be taking lessons in shortly....but can certainly understand what you are saying.
You should of complained to the front office/or the Sales Mgr.
That's just ignorant and rude, sounds like they don't play golf.......

The property looks nice, and maybe we'll stay there and do a tour sometime........
Next time I hope you have better luck!

almost 4 days until SUNNY WARM FL!!! :hippie: :wizard:  :cloud9: :3dglasses :woohoo: :lmao: :cool1: :thumbsup2 :dance3: :rolleyes1 :yay: popcorn:: :cheer2: pirate: :grouphug: :hourglass princess: :flower3: :upsidedow

This is not a brand new resort, but they had a name change last year. They were formally Wyndham Palms, but dropped their affiliation with Wyndham. We have been owners there for a few years, but have only stayed there once. It's a very nice resort. The price you quoted would be a real bargain to stay there. Just be prepared to say No.

We went to an owners update while we were there, but it was very low key. When I made it clear we weren't in the market for another week, they gave up quickly. We did see lots of sales prospects going around on the golf carts most mornings.

When we stayed there, our patio overlooked part of the golf course. We were amused by a group of small children, at least four or five of them, that were using one of the sand traps to play in. They were there for at least half an hour before someone came to run them off. This was Christmas week and I never saw many golfers near our unit.

I see them on ebay. Also try www.discounthotels.cc. We used them a couple of years ago. In 2001, we did 3, got tix to WDW, Universal and $70 in cash. Wouldn't do that again but on a tight budget, great way to stay somewhere nice for very little money!

Hi,

We stayed at Mystic Dunes (Wyndham Palms) last year at this time.
Our deal was offered from Wyndham By Request and included our choice of (2) 1 day park passes (SeaWorld, WDW or Universal).

We requested and stayed at the newest building (31) that had just open and received a 2bd on the top floor ! The great part is it's only a few minutes to WDW.

Here's other deals from Wyndham Vacation Resorts:

Have fun!
