My boyfriend and I found out this weekend that we got accepted for the Walt Disney World College Program for this Fall. Now we're trying to get a head start on air tickets. We're looking for red-eye flights, but we have found that not only are they few and far between, but that the prices is usually comprable to a day flight.

Does anyone know and air sales coming on or heard of possible air fare wars? Or perhaps a site that specializes in red-eye flights?

We're trying our best to find affordable flights... but we need some help. And any and all help would be much appreciated! :teeth:

AirTran was having a 48 hour sale. Southwest now has DING! feature. You download it and it "dings" you to let you know there are decent fares to book within a few hours.

Beyond that, I cna't think of anything else.

Travelzoo sent me their Top 10 yesterday. There was a link for several major carriers having cheap flight to FL. Prices ranged from $49-$79 each way. Check it out, or sign up for their top 10 (they sell quickly).

Check the threads in this forum about Southwest's current fare sale to FL.

I got flights two days ago from Southwest Airlines for $72 per person, round trip. My family of four is flying for $387 total! Their flights are non stop, which is a great perk. The only drawback is that they only fly from certain cities, so you may have to drive to a nearby large city to get a flight. They do fly into Orlando.

Try Bestfares.com. We didn't use the travel company associated with the website, we asked our TA instead and still got in on the price/codes published there. It looks like they update it often. It's worth a shot.
Good luck! :goodvibes

Bestfares.com has a published fares area (they call them "public fares"), and then if you subscribe, there is a members-only area, where some deeper discounts can be found.

First I would suggest going on each airline's web site you are considering and subscribe to their (free) newsletter.

I have traveled for business for the last 20 yrs. You will find that the "specials" for each airline come out on "Wednesdays"!!
Dont know why? :confused3

And....after you book something....keep checking the same flight......every Wednesday. As long as you dont change your flight or seat...you can re-enter all the info and get, yet, a cheaper price.
I have an $80. voucher doing this, from my Dec 04 trip, that I will use by Dec 05!

Good Luck!! :goodvibes
