We signed up in September last year, but have decided that it really isn't for us.
Anyone got any advice on cancelling or selling DVC membership?

Many thanks.
Kind regards,
Russ.

Hi Russ,

I think you will have to sell through a timeshare broker (don't know if you can cancel now, I would have thought it was too late).

Why not go through the Dis' DVC sponsor and ask them what the process is, costs etc? If you go to the US boards the sponsorship is at the top of each forum so if you click on it you will be taken to theor website.

Good Luck :)

Karen

Your cooling off period will have expired now. If you sell privately - ie not through a broker - you will avoid broker's commission. Post how many points you have, at which resort (presumably Saratoga Springs) and use year. You can see what the market rate is by checking out the Disboard sponsor - the prices quoted are subject to offer - e.g. a price of $77 per point might sell for $69. Agents commission will add a further say $10 a point - reducing the amount received to say $59 a point. Disney has Right Of First Refusal ("ROFR") so if you accept an offer, Disney can repurchase by matching that offer.
