I'm trying to convert a windows media player (wma) into a wav so I can burn it to a CD. Any hints on how to do this?

One thing that makes me kinda mad is that I was asked for a bunch of info in order to download the song here's how they described it:
yours to download and keep...no streaming this, or sample that...honest.
Here's the reality, you can only play it 8 times & the wording made it seem like it was pretty much a gift, but it's not an mp3, you can't copy it, transfer it to an audio player, make a CD with it or keep it more than a few weeks.

Jeff,

I believe you can play WMA's in Winamp . They have a diskwriter plugin that will write it out to a wave file. I used to use it to burn audio cd's from MP3s.

I haven't tried it, but I've found this site which appears to have a comprehensive suite of conversion software.

Good luck.

I downloaded 4 different programs that claimed they could do it to no avail. One claimed it was "protected", while the others just stopped.

Anyway I found an mp3 of it, but I'm still pretty hot about the situation.

I appreciate the help though guys. :)

I've tried it too. But from my research it doesn't sound like it's technically feasible. The technology is just completely different between the two sound types.
