Anyone know how to get Aquaphor (vaseline) off my new couch?

Ugh.. I knew it was only a matter of time. My 3 yo DS decided to slather his legs in Aquaphor (for those who don't know, it's for irritated skin, and is a goopy, vaseline texture) and then sit on my new fabric couches. I've tried using soap and water to clean it, but when it dries, I still see where he sat. Anyone know what will clean that?
