Anyone know how to email a photo to a cell phone?

I have a picture that I took with my digital camera that I have downloaded to my computer. I would love to be able to get that picture on my cell phone. I have Verizon and the phone is an LG 8350.

Does anyone know if this is possible and if so how to do it?

Send an email from your phone to your email address. Your phone # (XXXXXXXXXX@vzw.com) might work also.

Actually, it's @vtext.com (not @vzw.com). You may have to register for it to work. Just go to vtext.com to register. It does not cost anything to register. You could always try it without registering first.

Do you have a micro SD card installed in the phone? If so you could transfer the image to the card via a card reader with an SD slot and micro adapter.

Just a followup to my own post:

I tried to email to myphone#@vzwpix.com and that didn't work. Some google searching suggested that it works if you use gmail but I didn't try that.

But, if you go to www.vzwpix.com you can upload your photos and then send them to your phone.

If it's just photos it would probably be easier to just get an SD Micor card and card reader like tiggr33 suggested. Also seeing how you are sending pics from a digital camera to a cell phone there might be size restrictions.

What I did when I had trouble e-mailing a photo to my cell phone....I had a print of the photo, so I used the camera on my cell to take a picture of the picture. If you don't have a print, you could always try taking a picture of the photo as it's displayed on your computer monitor.

I have done this and it has worked rather well. Sure is quicker then downloads and uploads although the quality might not be as good, but the picture is so small I can not see any difference of quality on the phone.
