I've read about the Pop Warner activities and that mainly the value resorts see the most effects of this event (and of course the Wide World of Sports). Does anyone know if the attendees come for the weekend before or after the event to visit the parks? Also, what age groups are they? I'm guessing they won't be spending much time on Dumbo?

Read on another post that they wil be there 12/7-12/13
Although a lot stay at value some stay at moderates, and probably a few at the deluxes. Not sure if some arrive the weekend befor the events. As for age old enough to know better, but some don't. :(

We were vacationing at the MK two years ago while the Pop Warner people were there. In fact we flew in with a bunch of the cheerleaders from Charlotte. During our 4 days we never saw them in the parks. Thats not to say they wern't there, they were just not noticable. We stayed at WL and did not see any there. The cheerleaders we flew with were so well behaved during the flight and while waiting on the plane we could not believe it.

Just wondering whether anyone who has been to MVMCP has seen the Pop Warner cheerleaders and football players in (mass) attendance at the event???

If any were at the MVMCP last year on the night we went, we didn't see any in (mass) attendance.

In 2001 we were there while they were. Didn't see much of them until later on in our trip. There was a huge mass of them pushing thru the crowds at Epcot after Illuminations, mind you in the opposite direction of traffic. They were cheering as they made their way thru, which was very rude IMHO. It was hard enough trying to keep my family together let alone doing it as they went by yelling and screaming in my ear.

That was the only time we encountered them. But once was enough.

I think the beginning of their trip they are too busy getting ready and competing, but they let loose when competitions are over. If I remember correctly it was a Thursday night we ran into them.

We were at WL two years ago. The only way we knew they were there is because my husband is involved with our local Pop Warner so knew the schedule. Never saw any cheerleaders or players in any of the parks.
