Anyone know Current Fantasmic Buffet Price?

OK..I am thinking of really splurging and taking the whole crew in May to the Fantasmic Dessert Buffet
When we went in 06 it was, I believe, $59.00 per adult. Is this right and if so is this still the price?
Also, we will have 5 kids with us, ages 7, 5, 3, 2 & 1. I remember it was less for kids, but don't remember how much, and also, what age do you need to begin paying a kid's price?
Any help would be appreciated.
I didn't think I'd even consider this, but how manytimes can youy be able to take kids and grandkids to Disney all at once???

I believe it is still $59 but it is no longer a buffet--now you get a box with goodies.

I just booked this for our trip in 10 days. It is $59 for adults and $49 for kids, and by "kids" they mean age 9 and under. I paid full price for my 10 and 12 y.o. DDs.

It's a splurge for us, too, but it sounds like it will be worth it! The 5 y.o. DD wouldn't make it until the 10:30 showing of Fantasmic, and I just really didn't want to have to spend 2 hours staking out a decent viewing spot for the 9 p.m. one!

I'm not sure about the new riverside seating.....

but when we did balcony we did not have to pay for my 2 y/o daughter....she sat in my lap. she didn't need a park ticket....she didn't need a fantasmic ticket, that is what i was told at the time.

Thanks for the information - I thought that the cost was $59 per person regardless of age! So that's an extra $10 to spend on souvies for us!

I can't comment on rules at DL because May will be our first trip, but I know at WDW kids under 3 don't pay to attend shows and/or dining experiences. I would like to think that Disney keeps this policy at all their theme parks.

Yep. To me, that is WAY too expensive for a good seat and some cookies...

Our DS8 is almost 4 feet tall - big for his age. I don't usually worry about proving his age, but some people might think he was 10. Will this be a problem when we check in?

It says that 2 and under are free, provided they sit on your lap.

Also it still says it's a buffet, but I read somewhere else that it is now a box of goodies... though I've seen pictures somewhere of the box and it's quite generous. And I heard the CMs serve you beverages.

BTW, the old gallery is no longer there-- it's now the Disney Dream Suite, so one lucky family who got randomly chosen that day will be up there watching! Wish it could be me! Fairy Godmother, where are you?

Just fyi--I was not impressed with the box of goodies we got last November for the Riverside seating. Not for $59. It was essentially a chocolate dipped strawberry and some cake/cookie things. We also did the Electrical Parade seating on the DCA side a month or two ago and that was much better--it was a plastic (rather than cardboard) container--and had cheese and crackers, grapes and an assortment of sweet things. The info we got at the Electrical Parade was that the same "box" was being used for both Fantasmic and Electrical Parade.

Would it be a great way to videotape Fantasmic? We might consider doing this in December but only if I can be sure that we'll be getting an awesome view of the show (for that price!)! assuming it hasn't changed from what it used to be, i haven't done it myself (i've always done balcony) but i've consistently heard you're very close (you can feel the heat of the flames) but just a tad off center.

I don't know if it will be running in November. Don't have the number handy, but if you call the Disney dining number they can get you to the right place (same as for Fantasmic reservations). It is actually quite nice--they give you tables and chairs in the Golden Vine area--you are a few feet above the parade route and have an excellent view!

When we did it the view was terrific. Having done both the riverside and the balcony seating, I have to say, I liked the riverside seating better. You really felt almost like you were in the show.

Had not heard about the dessert box. When we went (Feb 2006) riverside seating still had a buffet. In fact, IIRC, there were two options, one with a boxed dessert (in a different location) and the buffet (in front of the raft loading area).

It is set up right near the raft boarding area for Tom Sawyer's Island. They rope off an area and set up chairs and tables.
