Anyone know anything about old china?

I have a set of Steubenville Fairlane dishes that my great aunt left me when she died about 25 years ago. I HATE THEM! They're so ugly, but I have carted them with me through countless moves in my life, and I am SO ready to part with them.

I called a dude who said he was in the business of buying old dishes, but was not interested in mine.

But on eBay, there seems to be a bit of a market for them (but I do NOT want to go through the hassle of listing and shipping them!), and on the Replacements website, they seem to be worth a little bit of $$.

Anybody want them?!?! LOL! Any suggestions??

I did contact Replacements, and they told me that they weren't in the market for that style at this time,

It's very frustrating, because I had a ridiculously cheap price on the set at our garage sale last year, with printed information from the internet about it. This young woman was VERY interested, said that she collected old dishes, and that this stuff matched her colors (pink and turquoise and gray - YUK!). I told her to make me an offer. She said she'd think about it. She never came back.

But the next day, her friend's DH came by to pick up a desk they'd bought, and I gave him my number and told him to tell the girl she could HAVE it for FREE! She never called.

One of the best ways to find value is search ebay for a similar pattern. Sadly, there usually aren't a lot of buyers for any sort of china unless it is really hard to find. Good luck.

We have a set of China. We looked into selling our China, since we never ever used it. We had it appraised and said it is worth $35. The antique dealer said, there really is no market for china. But she said, she has seen things turn hot over nite, so you never know.

We were at a garden walk this summer, and one of the gardens had china plates as a border. It looked really stupid.
