Mickey and Minnie dolls? I got these with a group of Disney stuff and there are no tags on them. They seem to be older but I can't tell. Anyone know anything about them?

I can help

That what you have there is a Minnie Mouse and a Mickey Mouse stuffed doll.

Most likely made by Disney. They look like they are from the cross eyed collection. With the now famous topless Mickey. Good Find.

I'm just glad I could help. anytime you need me again Just ask I'm here for you dude!!!

What few people realize is why it is called the cross eyed collection. This came about initially due to a manufacturing flaw where the noses were made too large. This resulted in both the dolls and the factory workers to become cross eyed. There were only a few hundred of these made before the factory had to close due to all of the insurance claims made to the vision plan. As for the topless Mickey, this was symbolic since the factory workers literally lost the shirts off their backs when production of the dolls stopped.

Glad I could help.

I knew there was more but I just didn’t know it.

I see now Jeff thank you. Nat hold on to those dolls its now a symbolic icon against the socialist capitalist exploiters that ran the factories.

Let the government run the factories our lives the world and we can all be happy sheep. In the case of Jeff, a happy sheep with cactus to munch on.

Power to the people comrades Hold your dolls up high Nat.

Capitalism, socialism, communism... I think Ferrus Beuler said it best, "I don't believe in 'isms' I just believe in me."

There were 4 other dolls that went along with that set. There was Scrooge McDuck dressed as Fidel Castro and then there were Huey, Dewey and Louie dressed up like Cuban cigar makers. I believe those dolls were banned in the United States around the time of the Bay of Pigs. I am sure Tomart has a guide with this stuff in it. You should go to a Barnes & Noble bookstore and ask if they have the Tomart guide with the Cuban cross-eyed Disney dolls. I am sure they get these questions all the time.

Spoken like a true socialist with two hour of sunlight more than me. you have a set of these dolls in the basement don’t you? You closet comrade you.

Come on Jeff defy the capitalist exploiters denounce those two extra hours of light, fight for daylight savings and display your dolls proudly.

You also forgot Daisy duck as Carmen Miranda, and Goofy as Ricky Ricardo, Pluto as Chi Guevara.

Viva la revolution de los doll amigo and go home Yankee go home viva los Diamondbacks.

Hey you know sounds like a cool rock group Los Diamondbacks

And their newest hit I’m on the cactus radio.

And where the heck is Brian he needs to be part of this he and his little communist car of his.
