When I was a kid in Northwest Indiana, my dad had a chrome rotisserie he got as a wedding gift in 1956. He loved that rotisserie and used it for 30 years until it broke. He used to be a meat cutter and his brothers owned a drive-in so he is also a wonderful cook.

He often talks about that rotisserie and how they don't make them like that anymore. I have searched the web and found several vintage rotisseries on EBAY but am a little hesitant to purchase it. They range from $20 to $350 dollars. I can't remember the make and I doubt he could either. From the pictures I saw on EBAY and from what I remember it seems to be a "Nesco" or a "Dormeyer".

Are there any electrical dangers in using an older appliance if I can get my hands on one? I know he'd love it.

I still use an old Sunbeam pop up toaster manufactured in 1952. I bought it from a great aunt's estate. I had it checked out at a Sunbeam repair place in Dallas. They replaced the cord for me. It has continued to work fine for me since 1986.
