I would like to get DH some kind of tablet that uses the android system for his birthday. I am clueless:confused:. What's the best deal for the lowest price? Anyone have one?

Thanks!

I have an android tablet, a pandigital multimedia 7 in tablet e-reader. I have only had it a couple of weeks and due to other obligations I have not had a lot of time to experiment with it, but from what I have done, I love it! I got mine at Kohl's where I work part-time, it was on sale, plus a $30 rebate, had a 20% off coupon, and they were doubling our employee discount to 30%, so I ended up paying about $65.:cool1:

I bought my DD18 a Motorola Xoom at Best Buy yesterday as an early graduation gift. It has an Android operating system. She preferred the Motorola over the iPad. Both are Consumer Reports recommended.

Anus tranformer, Samsung Galaxy Tab, Mortrola Zoom

or get NOOK Color and rooted and makes a good andriod tablet

On the tech boards is going crazy over the Anus Transformer. Zoom has Honeycomb on it.

Hope t hat helps

I have the Samsung Galaxy Tab and I love it. I carry it with me everywhere. I wanted an iPad, but it is too big to carry with me all the time.

DS has had the he Acer Iconia Tab A500, an Android 3.0 honeycomb tablet for about a week now and LOVES it. It was $450 at best buy and he got a case off Amazon for around $10.

Anus tranformer...

Asus Transformer... :thumbsup2

I have a cheap Chinese made ePad (flytouch 2) with Android that i got off ebay for less then $200. I like it a lot just be aware it will not replace a computer or a net book but does great for email, music, color eReader and watching movies. You can also surf the web but the experience is about the same as using your phone. I get about 4 hrs of battery life with the WiFi turned off.

Some are cell internet access capable (i.e. it has the hardware to do it) and some are just WiFi capable only. If you are not in a hurry Woot has a view sonic on sale about once a month. You see the commercials for the Motorola on tv all of the time.. I would also look at the 10" netbooks. They are about the same price and the netbooks are more capable. They come with windows, will run email and MS office... The same as a normal notebook.
