Just curious if anyone knows the wait times lately for Anna/ Elsa right at park open? As far as I know, DL doesn't do FP for them, correct?

Correct, there is no Fastpass for the A&E meet and greet.

For the last few reports I've read, it sounds like the wait times are very short if you're one of the first people to the M&G at rope drop, but it quickly ramps up to several hours in length (I recall reading that it was several hours in length within the first 15 minutes or so). Basically, unless you one of the first people to the M&G area, it's going to be a long line.

Ugh. I really hope that by early December when we go, this dies down. We spent 2 hours waiting to meet Merida last time and I felt like it was such a waste of time for a 2 minute meet. By the time we got to Merida, dd was tired, bored, and hungry and could barely muster a polite grin. But, she did get her autograph and that's all that mattered :thumbsup2

From what I saw and from what I've read, the CMs (at least now) are actively encouraging guests to leave one person in line and have the rest of the party do other things. In most cases, line holder is frowned upon, but for the A&E M&G it sounds like they want people to do this (I think it's to save space because there isn't a lot of space in the area for a huge line).

Any suggestions on how early to arrive at the gates? 30 min? 60 min?

And, I'm guessing the wait doesn't decrease later in the day before they close the line but does anyone have experience with that?

We were there on a Friday evening (6/27) about 6:30 p.m. and the wait was well under an hour. IDK if this is normal or not, but I was sure surprised.

Wow, that would be great. We only have two days do I am trying to avoid the subject. ;)

But, less than an hour would be worth our time!

Unfortunately that is not an option for those who travel as single parents.

Hopefully the lines are getting shorter as the hype dies down a bit. Not sure whether we are going this summer, or whether the kids will want to meet A and E, but if the line is short enough, I can see us going ahead.

I agree. It didn't even really work for dual parents. Dh and my other dd (who wasn't interested) couldn't ever go really far as we had no way of contacting them (unless we wanted to pay insane roaming charges) when we were done and they didn't want to get stuck in a long line or anything so they kept coming back to check on us every 10-15 min or so. And my youngest dd who wanted to see Merida was so worried about not being there when it was her time, she wouldn't leave either. It's a great concept but not sure if it would really be effective for many.

This morning Anna and Elsa wait was 120 min at rope drop. Ha, no.
Of course that's with EE at DL - apparently lots of folks use their entire EMH for a meet and greet line.

I know this doesn't help most, but my Chick Fil A had their own Anna and Elsa meet and greet tonight. They were so sweet and we got some good pictures! :)

We waited about 20 min and DD was already restless. So much better than 2 hrs!!

I have no idea if this was a fluke deal or if A&E are touring KC area restaurants. It was perfect for DD4! Now I can cross my fingers and avoid it all together in a few weeks. ;)

We were there June 21-25.

On Sat. late afternoon, the line was at an hour, but it was only Anna greeting.

We used our Tues EMH to meet them. Arrived at the gates at 6:30 for a 7am EMH/MM. My mom walked at an above normal pace, but not power walking or running and got in line while I took the kids on PP. FWIW, the CMs are encouraging one person to wait in line if possible. We met up with her after that one ride and waited with her for about 10 minutes. We got into see them at about 7:30 (and yes, the M&G WAS open during EMH). By the time we went in, they were quoting the line at 4 hours.

I don't know if anything has changed in the last few weeks though.

Where do we go and what's the fastest way to get there if trying to see them? My youngest loves A &E so much. We will have to figure out a way and hope to be the first group in line so we can fit everything in. Going in three weeks!!!

The M&G is next to the Pinocchio ride in Fantasyland. There will be CMs directing you where to go. The fastest way would be to walk with purpose down Main Street, avoiding crowds, go straight through the castle and to the left of the carousel. The entrance to the M&G will be right there. Being the first group in line will mean being at the gates VERY early, the luck of getting through the turnstile fast and beating the crowd down Main Street.

It would be great if they introduce Anna & Elsa to some of the character dining options, this would surely make the queues more manageable and put a lot of smiles on kids (and parents) faces :)

If they haven't put them at Akershus I don't see them putting them anywhere sadly.

Where is the A & E Meet and Greet located at inside the park?

It's at the old Rapunzel M&G area, next to Pinocchio.

On Wednesday, mid day, it was about 2 hours. The extended M&G times (and perhaps the pre parade float) do seem to have shorted the lines overall. They do have tape down to extend outside the main queue, which is the 2 hour mark, but it wasn't used whenever we passed by Wednesday
