My 8th grade daughter has been assigned a research project on her "chosen career path." (Although at 8th grade, I have a feeling this chosen path may change.) Being the arsty and creative type, she has a strong desire to be a Disney Imagineer. Obviously, there are many different subcategories to that title, and she is really not sure which one she is most interested in. One of her resources for the project can be an interview with a person already in said career. Does anyone know an Imagineer that might be interested in helping out an 8th grader? I would think it would be fine for us to email the interview questions to him/her and have the answers emailed back to us. If no one knows an Imagineer, does anyone have any ideas of how to go about finding one that would be willing to help? Thanks!

Just bumping this back up for the evening crowd. I'm still hoping someone knows an Imagineer or has some kind of connection. Thanks!

Yikes. I do work for the company but don't know any directly... Are you sure she doesnt want to do hotels :lmao: How about emailing guest communications? wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com They could probably help. If that doesn't help, I can try to email around and see what I can do, but I can't think of anyone of the top of my head. I bet they get this question more often than you would think :)

I have a step grandfather who was one of the original designers for the Jungle Cruise in Disneyland, does that help? It was a really good career choice for him.

Thank you so much! Boxley, it would definitely help. Fall08CP, I will email Disney today and will let you know if they can't help. Thanks again!

Good luck !

In 8th grade [2 or 3 years ago] we had to do that stuff, too.
My career path has changed about 10 times.

When I entered 9th grade a year ago [im at the end of my sophomore year]
they expected us to already have a major to think about [i don't know why when it was 9th grade .. ] :scared1:

All I really know is that he took a lot of art classes, drawing and things. He also studied some mechanic things ( but I don't know if that is a requirement) he also studied world culture. For more information go to the Disney website for something called careers, it may take a little while but it does mention what an imageneer does. If there is anything else, I can easily call him up and ask him about the job.
