Hello - the experts will be along shortly or early evening, but just wanted to say hi!

I am the same as you, first visit, first free dining, and today making my ADRs ... having a meltdown :lmao:

Like the look of your restaurants you have chosen, and you have given the children some chill time.

Just in case you do not know there is also a nemo package, where you eat at tusker house I think between 1-1.40pm and you get reserved seats for nemo .. we are doing that as well as fantasmic package :goodvibes

I think your plans look really great!

You have a great amount of chill time, and as long as your pre-firework ADRs are like 2 hours or so before they fireworks start then you are all set to book!

I think you've done a perfect job.

Looks absolutely fine to me. Your plans will change anyway when you get there as there will be rides you want to ride again etc which may mean popping back to a park on another day possibly.

Just remember to enjoy it! If its your first visit plan some time just to wander around the parks soaking up the atmosphere. There is no place like it anywhere else in the world!!!

Looks great to me - the only thing I would change for my family would be the first day.

Last year when we arrived we tried soooo hard to stay up but the girls really struggled and to be honest so did we so as a result we all woke up at 4.30am the first full day.

We ended up having a nap at around 2.30pm the first day but setting our alarm to get back up at 5.30pm. It was hard waking the girls but once up it was worth it. We went to MK for tea, watched the night time parade and enjoyed the quiet queues.

We got back to the resort about 10pm and then the following morning we woke up at 7.30am. Perfect!

Thank you all for your replies :)

Will look into the Nemo package

Yes we will be flexible and spend time soaking up the atmosphere

Will also bear it in mind about the first day, I can see what you mean about staying up later and getting into their time.

Now will just have to hope I can get the ADRs we wanted !

One suggestion I would make for your day at Seaworld on the 18th. During August, Seaworld is usually open until 10pm, and the evening shows are definitely worth watching (especially Sealions tonight if on), plus they usually have fireworks to finish with. It would be a shame to miss these events.

You may wish to consider moving Seaworld to 19th and rearranging Chef Mickeys you have planned on that day - maybe dinner on 13th or 22nd?

Personally I would swap Planet Hollywood for Rainforest Cafe or T-Rex. PH isn't a very nice restaurant IMO.

I would also just suggest to be willing to swap parks based on your children's likes etc, for example one night they may rather go to epcot than MK or not a like a park so much and would rather do something else. I find I often change my plans once we have done all the parks once as my DD has her favourite things she wants to do again or may not be enough that interests her at a certain park.

Are you only doing Universal studios, just wondering about IOA? We did both in one day however there is a lot of rides at IOA that an 11 year old may like.

They look very nice. I guess the only think I'd think about is the breakfasts. Unless you're early they can eat into your time at the parks when they are at their quietest (just after opening).
Also as I like to get the best bang for my DDP buck, the breakfasts, being less expensive, are relatively less good value if you're using TS credits.
If you're staying in a 1BR at SSR then you've got a full kitchen - when we stay at OKW we have some cereal or something before we go out - there's the CS lunch to look forward to soon enough!

Thank you but Rainforest cafe and T rex are not on the dining plan are they ? I would begrudge paying for them when Ive got free dining, thought Planet Hollwood might be fun for the kids but I can rethink that.

Hmmm, hadnt thought about missing the evening things at Seaworld I will certainly think about that. If we buy a 1 day pass do we get another days free entry (could go another evening ) or am I dreaming that ?:confused3

Will think about the breakfasts too, I did think it would be a bice start to the holiday to have a character breakfast but could rethink the other one.

Thank you all very much for your thoughts:)

The Fantasmic dinner packages can have silly seating times - our dinner reservation was for 3:30pm!!! It would be a rush to get back from sea world if you too get a daft time.

Sorry didn't realise about free dining. I wouldn't pay for PH however as you are on free dining you may as well give it a try ,if your kids want to try it out. You have loads of fab meals picked Ohana, Coral Reef etc.

Breakfasts are good to have early in the trip when you are up early.

I agree about Planet Hollywood - we have eaten there twice, NEVER again.

As you have the dining plan credits to use, if you want a dtd restaurant then I would recommend Raglan Road (1xTS credit) we had two fantastic meals there in September.

Here's a link to their website. http://www.raglanroadirishpub.com/

Hello, your plans sound great. They look like a good starting point and then I suggest you also "go with the flow" a little.

We went in august last year and the one thing I noticed different compared to the other times we went was that when we had a lay in and got to the parks later on they were quite busy and the queues were quite long.I would be more inclined to head to the parks first thing in the morning then head back to hotel to chill out in the afternoon.

On the 15th you may want to consider going to HS am as Toy Story fast passes run out quickly & the queueing time is quite considerable. We go for opening, grab a fast pass, tour the park then have a Sci fi early lunch. We then go back to the hotel to rest/swim.

Hmmm, hadnt thought about missing the evening things at Seaworld I will certainly think about that. If we buy a 1 day pass do we get another days free entry (could go another evening ) or am I dreaming that ?:confused3

No you are not dreaming!! You do get a second day's entry free. However, as pointed out in another reply, the Fantasmic meals times are between 15:00 and 17:00 so you would have to leave Seaworld quite early to get to HS, even if you managed to get a late booking.

Thank you all, have listened to what you have said and here is my revised plan !

11th-arrive-no plans

12th-Crystal Palace breakfast, MK till we get tired, eve see how it goes

13th -animal kindom, chill pm,Boma early tea

14th water park -epcot in eve, eat at Tutto Italia and watch fireworks

15th chill am, then HS eat at Sci Fi diner

16th am epcot , then chill pm, eve Whispering Canyon then MK and watch fireworks

17th chill am, AK pm then Hoop de doo

18th (my birthday ) sea world then chef Mickeys eve

19th water park then fantasmic package Mama Melrose

20th chill am, then epcot, eat at coral reef in eve

21st MKam , chill pm, then whispering canyon

22nd Universal studios then dinner at SSR

23rd AK-breakfast at Donalds safari , chill pm Seaworld eve

24th epcot am, chill pm then dinner at Ohanas

Better ? Thought would split the day at seaworld and do a day and an evening, think the kids would find it too much to stay all day and into the evening. Fantasmic isnt on the 18th anyway so changed that and thought chef Mickeys is more doable after seaworld anyway. I really have no idea how tired the kids are going to get in the heat so will probably change things once we are there anyway.

Please consider La Nouba at some point during your trip. I have not seen this particular show, but the other Cirque Du Solei shows i have seen are wonderful!
