Anyone Just Coming Home from WDW

We were there from 5-7 to 5-13 and didn't see any until we went to breakfast at the Wilderness Lodge. The bus stop there was covered over with them. They were just all over the place and all over us. Theres no way I could have stood it much longer than the time it took to wait for the bus. We stayed at Pop and never saw one there. Not at the pool, bus stops, or anywhere else. We also didn't notice them being in the parks. Just the Wilderness Lodge.

Just subscribing...We will be there at the end of next week and were there last September when they were TERRIBLE. Floridians, will they be dying out soon?
Also, off topic, how is the smell from the wild fires in the Orlando area? I had seen last week that Orlando actually had the worst air quality in the nation. We live in Southern Middle Tennessee and the smoke is drifting into the state, but the smell is not bad yet. I remember being in Orlando in the 90's when there were terrible fires and the smell was terrible.

I left WDW last Thursday and saw a few love bugs but nothing like I had expected. Also we couldn't smell the fires at all (we did just north of Gainesville on the way down - wow, it smelled bad!).

Oh....so glad! Thanks for the info.

We just returned from our trip (May 12-26) and we thought the love bugs weren't too bad-mostly just annoying. We just fanned them away-they didn't really bother us.

Also, we did smell the fires one day in Epcot, and it was pretty smokey out, but that was the only day we noticed them.

We returned home to the UK from our trip last thursday (we were there from May 9th to 23rd) and we saw sooooooo many of these bugs!! Harmless enough but a little annoying at times....

I'd still rather be in WDW with the bugs than back home here with gloomy UK summer :o(
