We are planning to go to Disney next November 2 and I wondered what the crowds are like during this time. I hate to have to wait in long lines and deal with crowds. :earsboy:

We just got back from a November 5-11 trip. Actually the crowds were pretty BAD because of several factors:

--Jersey Week (New Jersey kids have the week off school and it seems the entire state comes down to WDW!)

--Food and Wine Festival was wrapping up at the end of the week

--Soap Opera Weekend was the 12th and 13th

--There was an art festival thing happening in Downtown Disney the 12th and 13th also.

We planned a year in advance after hearing this was a good, uncrowded time to go. :rotfl: About 3 months prior to leaving, I checked with The Unofficial Guide's crowd calendar again, and they'd increased the crowd rating from a 4-5 out of 10 to a 7 out of 10! (you can find this info at www.touringplans.com)

HOWEVER, if you plan things right--i.e. Get to the parks before they open, follow the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World's instructions to the letter (BUY THIS BOOK!!!!!!) , and take an afternoon break everyday, your line-waiting will be significantly decreased.

We ended up having a wonderful trip despite the crowds!

We also just returned (11/7 - 11/12). We found the crowds pretty manageable except for Epcot on Veteran's Day (11/11). We avoided the EMH parks, touring the Magic Kingdom on Tues., MGM on Wed., Magic Kingdom on Thurs. and Epcot on Fri. We used Fastpasses at every opportunity and managed to see/ride everything we wanted to (including the mountain rides 4 - 5 times, rockin' rollercoaster 3 times, tower of terror 3 times, soarin' and test track twice). The crowds were heavier than our trip 2 years ago (Nov. 18 - Nov. 22), but they were not as bad as I feared.

We just got back and were very disappointed that the parks were so crowded, almost if not as crowded as our former summer trips. We'll definitely check to see when Jersey week is and plan a differrent week for our next trip.

We were there from Tuesday 11/1 through Tuesday 11/8. The first part of our trip we were very, very happy with!! From Tuesday through Friday we thought the parks were very slow and the wait times were low. The only place we found crowded was the World Showcase in the evening for the F&W Festival. We stayed away from parks on weekend, and on Monday it was quite a bit more crowded. As an example, early on when Soarin' said it had a 50-minute wait time it was more like 20; on Monday when it said 50 minutes it was over 55 minutes.

We were there Fri. Oct 28 - Mon. Nov 1 and I have to say that on Nov 1, the Magic Kingdom was EMPTY! So, if you can go VERY early in November (the week BEFORE Jersey Week) I think you will be fine. For example, I bet that the people there for the last weekend of October (Sat Oct 29 - Sat Nov 5) till the following weekend, had pretty low crowds for most of their trip.

Even Halloween weekend, plus a LOT of southern Florida residents at the resorts and parks because of having no power at home due to Hurricane Wilma, we felt that the crowds were very managable, and the weather wonderful, at this time period :) I would absolutely return to WDW for this particular week.

And now that Jersey Week is over, maybe mid-November would be a good time?? :hourglass Any comments from people who've been there at this time??
