Anyone just back from Riverside??

I know someone said they were going to Riverside and I wondered if you were back?? So tell us about the pool

As an added question, if you are just returning from POR, do they still serve beignets at the Riverside Food Court? I know that they used to, however Deb updated her menus in March and it does not list beignets. Just Curious...

We are just back from Riverside. We checked in for one night before joining my parents at OKW. The place was lovely as always and our room was really clean. We were in building #17 and had a corner room with two windows, really nice. Also a trundle bed which my kids thought was SO cool.

We only went by the main pool, didn't swim in it. Looks like they took out the bridge that was there til last summer. There is a slide and a pool bar right there -- I love those WDW pina coladas! Sorry I have no more info about the main pool; the quiet pool was so nice and warm we just stayed there! The azeleas were blooming and birds were all around in the trees. The day before we left winter in Indiana so we were just amazed with all the color and gorgeous weather. The grounds here are SOOOOO pretty...

We did dinner at the food court, yummy little pizzas. The lines were long so we had to all agree on one item so we only had to wait in one line. Used the refillable mug. Sorry not sure if the fancy donuts are available or if you have to go to French Quarter. I did seethat the ferry to Downtown Disney was running. I think the boat stops at French Quarter if you are on a donut mission!

We had a wonderful trip despite some funky weather (cold and rainy). I am such a non-geek but I will beg dh tonite to help me post some pics of the kids outside by the room. You can see how lush and pretty all the flowers are! Everywhere you turn there is color -- I really LOVE this resort!

Also, I forgot to mention. By the time we ate dinner it got dark, but I could see outside (across from where the restaurant is) that there was an area boarded up and they are doing some type of renovation. It didn't seem major and it might even be gone by now but they were clearly up to something! Yet I know that ferry is running because we passed it when we rode the ferry to DD.
