If anyone is interested in the Fairmont Hotel San Francisco through the Concierge Collection I can report it is spectacular - especially if you get the "Signature" accomodations for the Tower section of the hotel. The room was failrly standard but it had a marble bathroom. The views were what made it so phenomenal. Each room has an approximately 8 foot wide window with exceptional views of the bay area. The Golden Gate bridge is to your left, Alcatraz and the City are straight ahead and the Coit Tower is slightly to the right. The Trans America building is lesss than a 1/2 mile away to your extreme right. The higher the better in terms of the view. We were given a room on the 21st out of 23 floors. The point total was pricey - 49 per night but if your stay in San Franciso is short you'll feel like you got the most out of your visit. Another nice feature is that you are located at the intersection of the two cable car lines which make travel very easy. The service was exceptional and there is a Hertz rental desk right in the lobby. Truly one of the best destinations I have tried outside of WDW.
