Anyone in the Northeast Amtrak savvy?

This is not WDW related, but I figured I'd throw it out there.

We're in SE Mass. We've just gotten word that DS's soccer team will be playing in a soccer tournament over Memorial Day weekend in LaGrangeville, NY(looks to be close to Fishkill, Poughkeepsie, etc). Games are Sat, Sun, Mon. DS and I will likely drive out on Friday afternoon as soon as he's home from school. DH has to work Saturdays, so he won't be able to join us.

I was on the Amtrak site last night, and I don't know what my problem was, but I was having a hard time trying to figure out how we could get DH out there, if at all. It seems to me that he'd have to get to Penn Station in NYC, and then switch trains to head back out to get to the tournament.

Anyone care to take a stab at it, and see what you can come up with?

I am not familiar with Amtrak but the Metro North railroad would work best, he would have to get to Grand Central Station from Penn Station and then take the Metro North to one of several stations that are around Lagrangeville, where he would get off would depend on where the tournament is.
