Keep an eye on the weather-- Hurricane Harvey is aiming for Texas. Storm surge and lots and lots of rain.
This might be a good time to make sure you have some bottled water and stuff in your dorm room, and to check with your RA about storm procedures, particularly if you're a freshman and don't already know them.

And, please, as a mom: if you're in the storm's path, please text mom or dad and let them know you're OK. They won't want to bother you, but they'll worry.
