The Walt Disney Company announced that its annual shareholders' meeting will be Tuesday, March 13, 2012, in Kansas City, Missouri. More information will be posted when it becomes available.

No, I'm not a shareholder. But it's nice to see the company recogizing KC's significance in Walt's career. There's a local organization that's desperately trying to save the Laugh O Gram building.

It looks like D23 is offering on March 14 what seem like an "add on" to the KC shareholder meeting. The event is called "Journey to Marceline" and will be led by Disney archivists. Guess they'll be doing an "In Walt's Footsteps" tour of the town. Sounds like fun!

The Board of Directors of The Walt Disney Company has set the date and location of the Company's 2012 annual meeting of shareholders. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at the Westin Crown Center, One East Pershing Road, Kansas City, Missouri.
