Anyone in HH this weekend?

I'm wondering if they've reopened the beach house? I've read on these boards it's been closed for work around the pool. I'll be arriving this Thursday and am hoping the beach house is back open. I've not received a letter from DVC warning me of this so I'm assuming it'll be open.

We were there last week and they closed the beach house on Mon but said the work should be done sometime last week, so you should be ok. You might want to call the resort directly to ask...Have a great time!!

Thanks. I'm sure we won't swim, but it would be nice to take a walk on the beach and to show my friends around the beach house.

We stopped by for a visit on Sunday (3/12) and was told the beach house had reopened on 3/11. Have fun!!

Since you all sound familiar with this resort, can you tell me how you get from the resort to the beach house? Also, how far away is it? thanks, julie

It's about a mile or so... Not very far at all...

Disney provides a shuttle from the resort to the Beach House, but I believe it doesn't run very late... (6:00pm'ish depending on the season..)

There is a parking lot, and you could drive there and park...

Or... Some people bike or rollerblade in...

The Beach House is due east of the resort.... You need to use your room key to open the gate to the parking lot, and to get into the Beach House and Pool area... The Beach itself is public access...

Biking to the Beach House is fun! You go on a path which takes you UNDER the highway via tunnel! Easy ride and I felt comfortable letting young teens go by themselves to the pool.
