Anyone in December getting FP+ and MB

I also just did it on the other site. It didn't ask me if I wanted to be alerted about my room, but it did ask my cell phone number where I am able to be reached during my stay. I wonder if they will notify me using that number automatically. I am hoping we can eventually add that option and pin on MDE.

I only see the pin option on the mde check in so I believe other then there calling or going to Disney will be the only way to add it. For them to alert you, you have to be enrolled in the texting program. It didnt give that option so I don't think so.

Okay yeah I don't want to have to wait around. But I also didnt want to call and them tell me to wait till I'm there lol....will be calling today. I'm also hoping I can link a different card to one user. Since my mil is going with us she would not be using our card she would more then likely like to use her own.

Please report back here if you get a chance. I would love to know what they tell you and know if I need to call as well. The pin is my only concern really. We will likely be arriving just after 3 PM so I think our room should be ready and room alert will not be an issue.

I asked her if it was to be fully implemented in December and she laughed and said no. (I know CMs arent always correct) She did say that the testing will most likely go on through February before it is rolled out to all guests.

That makes perfect sense now.

And this ^^^ I don't doubt for a second. I don't know where, other than some arbitrary blog, people are getting that December is going to be a full roll out. They've barely had one full month of testing with on site guests. LOL I totally think she is probably right.

Anyway, I expect December guests to be eligible near the end of October, just like November guests.

I will :) the alert is 100% needed but my mother in law will be there before us so it would be nice if she can know when she can go to the room.

True. The other link did not let us pick email or text.

I have called two different times for two different reasons and just casually asked at the end of the call about the Magic Bands and both times I have been told to check back around 30 days before my trip. We check in on Dec 4th.

I wonder why they do differently for each person. Unless they can only send out so many emails per day :/

See that, now, I wouldn't put too much stock in. People in October and November have had a cut off date at 30 days out. Meaning, 30 days out was the last day to customize their bands. So if you don't check till 30 days out, you might lose out on getting to customize.

Disney's communication strategy seems to be like the old school classroom game of "Telephone."

One person knows how it's going to work, tells one other. She tells another. He tells another..... 5,000 people later, and some of them are people we talk to when we call. Each one has a slightly different story!

Large companies seem unwilling to communicate if they cannot be 100% accurate. I'd rather they make a status page for My Magic+, and tell us what they know so far, and that it is always subject to change!

In case this means anything...we have a reservation at POP on 15th Dec and MDE says we can check in online in 36 days which would be 30 days out.

You should be able to do online check in at 60 days out, unless they are in the process of changing this. But people have been having problems with it. But maybe this is why. LOL

Regardless, online check in doesn't have anything to do with magic bands or FP+.

I agree with being available around the end of October. Just seems to match up with previous months. As for full roll out, from what I asked in the November thread, it seems that all resorts will have some MB and FP+ testing in November. Whether it's all guests at every resort, that remains to be seen. Not everyone is a DIS-er, so it's possible that a good many people going in November won't know about MB until they actually get to their resort.

That was my concern for those people too. Unless Disney is going to allow those people to customize up until like a week out, and then you pick up your band at the resort. I'd be concerned about something happening in that scenario though.

We arrive at AKL on Dec 7th. I was able to do the online check-in last night at our 60 days out mark. But no MBs as of yet. We keep trying every few days until they appear.

Were you able to do online check in on MDE or did you use the older WDW resort reservation site?

I totally agree!!! I called just last Friday to ask about discounts, and I also asked about MB, and he asked me if I got the email invite, and I said no, and then he said, well then there would be no MB for my trip. My trip is Dec 2-7. I knew what he was saying wasn't true, but I just ok, since I knew he didn't know what he was talking about!!!!!

Well, as far as I know, that is the case. ALL resorts are part of the test as of October 23rd. So anyone checking into any onsite resort, after that date, are going to be given magic bands whether they want them or not. They don't have to use them, but they should have received, or will be receiving, them. And yes, there may be several people that don't know until they arrive.

All December guests, as of now, should receive magic bands for their stay. It's just a matter of when.

Of course, this could change at any given moment. But if December follows suit, then it should happen towards the end of October.
