Just curious if anyone if Illinois ever recieves and codes or recently has. I have got maybe 3 different post cards in the past, nothing really special though.

Never gotten anything here, though my mother in law got something recently, though when she called in they told her it was only valid for rooms booked before the end of March. We all live in the Chicago suburbs.

Hope that helps!

Nope, I am still waiting!

Nothing here. We've gone to Disney about 8 times since 1997. When AKL first opened, I got a couple postcards with a decent rate for AKL, but other than that, nada, zilch. Nothing via email either. I am signed up on the web site, and with Disney Destinations, and other "lists," but still nothing.

When I ask the cms on the phone if there is a code attached to my name, they always say something like, "What are you talking about? Codes are never attached to names. They are given out as discounts with certain offers. That's it." Now of course, I have read on this board many times where cms have said "Oh, boy, you have a code attached to your name!" lol, so I KNOW it happens. Just not for us. :confused3

I got one in the mail today. There are various dates it can be used this year but we have to book by March 31 to get the 40% off. So I need to check the calendar and see if we can swing it.

Any chance you could list the available dates? Thanks!!

I'm right on the edge of Illinois/Indiana
Good ol Northwest IN

I have gotten nada!:headache:

but I am hopeful

Nope. None. Never. :sad2:

Although, Disney's IT system has my record all screwed up, so I'm sure my demographic profile won't ever pull. Every time I call, they say, "And it says you've been here 5 times, the last time in 1971?" I wasn't even born in 1971. And every time, they say they are correcting it, but they apparently don't.

We've been 3 times in the last 3 years and are currently planning a trip for this December. I called yesterday to see about any codes and nothing. Makes me wonder how they choose who receives them.

Nothing here in the Northwest section of the state and never have gotten a code sent to me.

I am signed up for everything Disney and they had my email mixed up for years and kept saying they would change it but never did. Everytime they would ask if it was right I would say no but the last person I talked to promised me to change it to the right email. I finally got one CM last year who said she knew what they were doing wrong and would fix it for good for me and she did so there is a way. They have had my correct address for 13 years and I still have never gotten a postcard. I think it's like winning the lottery but with a bit better odds and still I can't win. lol Thank goodness I don't buy lottery tickets. Whatever will be will be is my moto.

I live in central Illinois and we go to disney at least once a yr and have never gotten a code.We have always payed full "rack rate" to stay on property.
I have talked to several CM over the yrs about how discounts and codes are sent to people. This is what I have been told.
First, the pin number post cards and email pins are done through marketing. Not through the central reservation sysytem. Most times the CM that is booking isn't aware of the discount until she imputs the pin number. Second, we went on a DVC tour and were told the Illinois(mainly the chicago and suburb area) were the 3rd largest state to visit the WDW area and buy into the DVC. Thats why they set up the Shamburg door to the dream in Woodfeild mall. I think this has something to do with why there are so little pin codes around Illinois area. Families like mine who visit disney on a annual bases will go to WDW regardless if we recieve a discount or not. So it makes sense from a buisness standpoint not to send me a pin or code discount.
With all that said I would LOVE a discount and keep hoping that one will come my way some day.

that does make sense

crossing my fingers

but I doubt I will see any code come my way:rolleyes1

I might as well make my ressie

We live in the NW suburbs and I have gotten a couple of emails, but have never been able to use them. And i'm not sure that it wasn't an email that everyone that subscribes to WDW didn't also receive, so i don't think it was anything special. I have just been able to use my AAA discount, but it sure would be nice to get a code for our trip this April!

I'm about an hour South of Springfield, IL. I haven't received anything from Disney. I'm 31 and have lived here all of my life..I've come to notice that we rarely get much of a break for anything in Illinois so I guess we can just add Disney to the list of things we have to pay more for lol. :rotfl2:
