Anyone here use curtains for closet doors?

I did this in both of my DS's rooms. I first did DS4's room because we had the bi-fold doors and he kept getting his fingers pinched when trying to shut them. I decided to do DS10's room because I liked it so much. I bought curtains that matched the windows and put them on a shower tension rod (I had never thought about putting a "real" rod up there until now and I'm thinking that it might look even better!!! ).

I actually have lace curtains over my closet doors in our bedroom, makes it look so much softer and prettier in there

WE DID IT! We installed the curtains on the wall using a pretty decorative pole. The only thing I messed up on was the height. Since we are using the exact same curtains and poles for both our window and closet, I wanted to make sure they were the same height. We did the window first and I wanted the curtains about 3 inches off the floor. Well, 3 inches off the floor looks great for the window but not so great for the closet. I am not sure how we are going to fix it or if we are just going to leave it as it is.

Now, maybe you can all help me decide on wood colors for our new bed! I can't decide between medium cherry or light maple. Our bedding and curtains are a medium olive paisley with khaki trim. Our lamps and curtain rods are antiqued pewter. I am leaning towards the light maple but don't want the bed to look too country-ish as it won't match the bedding.

In one of my rooms, I used a shower curtain on a spring rod. I used this kind of rod so I could put it inside the closet opening as close to the front as I could instead of mounting the curtain hooks on the outside of the closet. I found pretty shower curtain hooks in a daisy alternating with leaf pattern which perfectly matches the bedspread. The trim around the opening is white and so is the linen curtain. Sorry I don't have a picture, but I think it looks nice.

I did this same thing in my kids rooms. They have awesome shower curtain holders too. DS has planet ones. He wanted the whole room decorated to match these. They have worked out well. IMO doors on closets tend to make a room look smaller.
