I was just wondering if anyone out tehre NOT like it. I am gong to go see my first show in Miami next week is called VareKai. I was remembering reviews Ive read on Cirque de Soliel shows and cant recall anyone ever saying its bad........

I've seen 1 or 2 post out of thousands that have not liked any of the Cirques'. They are great and all very well done .

I've seen this as well as most other on the Bravo channel (live at the DTD one ) and it was great.

DH and I saw Varekai a couple of years ago in Boston...we both loved it and also loved LaNouba at Downtown Disney. DH doesn't usually like this sort of show and was hesitant to go, but he really enjoyed it. I don't think I have come across anyone that didn't enjoy Cirque shows

Not a 'do-not-liker' here, but rather a 'liker'. I have seen -O- twice, Mystere and KA once each, La Nouba three times. I always enjoy Cirque.

We saw Varekai in Houston last year and it was wonderful! My son, who's 10, normally gets bored at shows like this, and he was amazed by it.

I have seen Varekai when it was here in Boston. I didnt' think I would enjoy the show. . .but it was fantastic.

Also I sent my parents to see La Nouba at DTD and they loved that one too. I hope you enjoy it!

I am, by extension...

Seven people in my firm were in Orlando for a convention last week. They went to La Nouba one night. I'm trying to figure out how to pay for that!
:sail:

Seriously,
I saw La Nouba a couple of years ago. I enjoyed it, once I got past the "artsy-fartsy"ness. I tend to analyse stuff artistically and was getting way too caught up in the "what does X represent". Something like La Nouba puts me into sensory overload in that regard. Next time I go (there WILL be a next time) I'll be better prepared.

I have the DVD so I can analyze each 'scene' in the comfort of my own home, at my own pace...

We didn't like La Nouba, it was just weird and creepy.

I saw Zumanity in Vegas and was bored throughout 85% of it.

I went for the first time in December with a friend. I didn't dislike it, but it was just okay. I don't think I would go again. My friend was totally bored and wanted to leave before it was over.

I think maybe I expected too much after all of the rave reviews.

My daughter and I saw Varekai last May. We thought it was a fabulous show and we're hoping Cirque duSoleil comes back this way again this year! :yay:

I've never seen it live, but I would love to. I've seen it on television and thats about it. I think it is amazing.

ETA:I'm terrified of clowns, but I think I could sit through this....If I had a seat in the back. ;)

'Like' it...but don't love it?? I actually nodded off in La Nouba but don't tell my DD! :rolleyes1

I've only seen it on tv and wouldn't go to a show if you paid me - well, maybe if you paid generously. I think it's creepy.

Both DH and I hate that type of thing - especially considering the cost. If it was free, I'd like to see some of the selected physical feats, but the whole showy/theme is, to me, way over the top and not inspiring or touching in the least.

Not my "cup of tea". While I admire the athletic abilities of the performers, I find the show chaotic. The costumes and makeup are distracting, too.

From what I've seen on TV - no I don't like it. Have no desire to go see it in person at WDW or anywhere else. I'm glat others do but it just isn't my cup of tea.

Didn't like it. I've seen a few shows and I just didn't 'get' it. I was bored, lol.

Everyone with me RAVED about it and loved it though so I guess I'm the odd one!
