Anyone here heard anything from Holiday DTD lately?

We are supposed to stay there from October 14 till the 22nd but have not heard a thing and we have been calling the resort like mad to try to verify that we still have a ressie.

Well today, we called the main HI 1-800 number and asked to have them check our ressie...they could not find it. Then they found someone who could see our dates but they had them wrong...they had our old dates, not the new stay...

They are looking into it but I'm getting worried. Has anyone been able to book for October or beyond?

It's still under reconstruction. It's not expected to be open until sometime next year (they aren't taking reservations until springish). Given what it looked like two weeks ago, it'd take a miracle to have it open by October.

Once they retrieve your reservation they'll offer to honor the rate at the (so-called) classier Sheraton Safari (same owners). You're likely to be able to get the Sheraton Safari for $39 or $45 via Priceline.

If I were you, I'd be making arrangements elsewhere.

Hi Samantha!

Man, I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. Is this for that "typo" that HI had a while ago, something like $1.69 a night? If so, no hotel price can beat that, ofcourse.

But, as I'm sure you know (you are Skyauction savvy), lots of good places are coming up for that week on SA. Vacation VP comes up, and you like that one, right? Just a thought.
