Anyone here had a full out wedding bash?

Our wedding was great. We had it in Connecticut (where i am from) for about 175 people. Huge wedding party, full Catholic Mass and a reception on the water at an old inn. Everything in total was about $40,000 and then another $8000 for our Honeymoon in St. Lucia.
It was the best! Never had so much fun in my life.

A co-worker was just showing me some of the wedding photos of her DD, she had it at the Omni in Georgetown, it looked absolutely beautiful, and every elegant. She said it cost them $75,000 and the bride and groom paid for it themselves!

In 2000 my sister did. I'm talking stretch SUV limo's, Ice Scultptures, white glove service. The whole 9 yards. Her wedding alone ran in the $25,000 ballpark for about 175 guests. That didn't include the $2500.00 bridal shower, or the bachelor/bachelorette parties, or the honeymoon to Vegas. Nor did it include any of the bridal parties attire. Which costs each of the females in the wedding an additional $500 w/ shoes and hairstyling costs included.
