Anyone here fly out of ABE?

I really would like to fly from ABE, as its a nice little airport close to home....but it seems like the fares from here are always higher than from bigger airports. Plus it seems like many of the flights are connecting and not direct

Anyone with experience flying from ABE care to give me some input?

We flew out of ABE in May direct flight on Delta Express for $169/person. Thought that was a good rate. The week before, the rate had been $164. It's a great place -- no departure or arrival delays - people are FRIENDLY!! and parking is no problem - I think long term rate is $6/day.

Also, my husband frequently flys out of ABE on business trips. Uses that airport whenever possible. HATES Newark and only usues that if no other choice.

I would recommend it highly. It's no stress - makes you feel like you're just taking a ride to the mall! Have fun!

Our family bought our tickets already for next April. We were able to get a direct flight to Orlando from ABE for $213pp. We'll be leaving 6:30a.m. arriving in Orlando at 8:52a.m.
I thought this was more than what we wanted to pay, but people have been telling me that it's a pretty good price for a non-stop flight and for the arrival time. We have always used ABE and have never had a problem. In fact, our travel agent told us if we wanted to fly out of Phila. it would be a little cheaper but they offer no direct flights. Back from our trip to Disney two years ago, when we went through the gate to pay for our long-term parking, the guy let us go through without paying because he didn't have enough change on him. (we had our car parked there for 10 days) Talk about a nice surprize!!
