I was just wondering... Does anyone on the Teen boards happen to be in a school play or take an acting class? I was just asking because I was in school plays and do acting and I am in a acting class. I am seriously considering it as a career. It really is so much fun and was thinking if anyone else did it on the DIS. :) :)

I've been taking Theatre in school since seventh grade.

This year I was in Mulan, which we did four shows for third graders in the elementary schools near us as well as three normal performances.

And I was in the show after that, titled "To See the Stars", about the winter of 1909 shirtwaist factory strikes.

I do like Theatre, it's quite fun. I'm actually pretty shy, but I enjoy acting immensely.

I love theatre!!! I mostly do it in school, although I did do one studio show. I have been a few supporting roles and few chorus roles. Typically only upperclassmen get lead roles, but that's me next year. I don't think I want to do theatre as a career, but possibly I'd want to work for Marvel studios off camera.

I love to act! The only leads ive had are mowgli in the jungle book and scat cat in aristocats but ive had a lot of supporting roles, too

Yup (: I've been in probably over a hundred plays since I started when I was 5. My favorite parts that I've ever played were the Artful Dodger in "Oliver!" the Jester in "Once Upon a Mattress", and Puck in a "Midsummer Night's Dream." I'm not considering it as a career, but I will continue doing shows in college next year.

I've been doing theater for years now. I love it! And while I'm not considering it completely as a career, it still is one of the greater passions in my life and I'll continue to do for a long time. I've mostly been in the ensemble or a featured soloist, but I've been getting bigger supporting roles in the past few years. Hopefully, I'll finally get a lead before I graduate. My favorite role by far was Eugene in "Grease", which was the most recent show I did.

I've been involved in Drama Club since my freshman year, and next year will be my last (woohoo! :woohoo: Almost a senior!). I was on cast for Get Smart, Alice in Wonderland (based on the book, not Disney version as our drama club is not funded at ALL by our school :( ), and A Christmas Story. I've worked on set crew for the musicals of Little Shop of Horrors (my absolute favorite show I've been a part of!), I was too busy/tired my sophomore year due to a zero hour I was taking for that musical, and we just presented Once Upon a Mattress. I'm super pumped for next year because we just found out we're doing a Shrek musical and Beverly Hillbillies for our play!
In college I'm going to major in Theatre as well as Business simply because I love the industry. As of right now I'm torn between set design and acting, but that's what college is for!

I've taken two acting classes. I'm interested in doing it as a career as well.

I love acting, I hope to maybe turn it into a career one day. My favorite parts would probably be when I was Ryan in High School Musical and when I was Willy Wonka in Willy Wonka Jr. :groom:

I acted all through high school, but haven't gotten into it in college yet. My favorite roles were probably Queen Gertrude in Hamlet, and Annie Sullivan in The Miracle Worker.

I'm involved with the Thespian Troupe at my high school. I haven't actually acted in a production yet (next year) but I was in an Improv show and I directed a one act play back in February. My school actually took the musical the Secret Garden to state competition this year.

I act and take acting classes. I've done a few shows outside of school but my school is one of the top performing art schools in the midwest so I have not been cast in a show in high school yet. I make costumes for all of the shows though. My dream job would be to act in Disney World. I'm hoping to Audition when I go down there next month.
