Anyone heard of this?

I found something else I thought was weird. Never heard of this.

Now I find out that Universal has put a time limit on how many times and when you can return to an attraction. My trip is booked for next month. It will be the last time I stay at a Lowes/Universal Hotel.

?????

i just read the first page of the reviews from that link.
all i can say is maybe our rates will drop if occupancy drops......lol

last year during a one week time period, there was a limit up to 4:00 pm on doing repeat rides in a row. i think the logic behind that was due to the parks being full. it was lifted and that was it.

i have not heard anything about limiting the number of times you can ride with fotl.

maybe this is just sour grapes on that poster on the review thread?
or someone starting up a rumor?

if you think there is any validity to that person's statement, call the hotel and check if there have been any policy changes for the time period you will be there.

A couple of years ago when the Mummy was new there was a restriction on the ride for onsite guests (one time before 4pm, unlimited afterwards) but I believe we only ran into this on a weekend. The other days it was no problem. The time they did limit it, they swiped each persons room key.

Most of those reviews were old. I think maybe the person read an old review from a couple of years ago when this happened and didnt realize it was old. I havent heard about this happeneing lately.

That's what I think. There is no restriction right now.

only time we ran into a restriction was the yr ROTM opened during July 4th week. Hulk and ROTM had restrictions. However DS is the only person in our group that like to ride something over and over again. The restriction also didn't seem to go into effect until 10 am or so. He just used the single rider line and was through the rides as quick or quicker than the express line.

i believe lindalinda hit the nail on the head.

those reviews are old.

if there would be any changes like that in the parks, we ALL would have heard about it by now!

A few more comments on those reviews. Now remember I have had 2 bad experiences at HRH and will now only stay ar RPR. However some of those comments are absolutely nuts

Someone was upset because the room wasn't ready at 9:45 AM. Check out isn't until what, 11 AM/ Check in is a 4PM and they expected a room to be ready at 9:45 AM and constantly checked on it throughout the day instead of having fun.

Pool... Yes most of the pool is shallow but there are deeper areas to the pool. All the person had to do is either walk around the pool, or ask.

As I've dug around the reviews for HRH and RPR I've noticed that many of the reviews seem to be of their trips in general, not just the resort. Some include reviews of flights, water parks etc. Also remember that people are more likely to complain than to give praise

The reviewer said that the Hard Rock pool is only 4 feet at it's deepest.
sha_lyn, are you saying there are deeper areas than 4 feet? My kids are very interested in this. Thanks.

The area with the volleyball nets was at least 4.5 ft I would say, might have been deeper. It's been a few yrs

We just returned a week ago and my DD and her cousins rode as many times in a row as they pleased on any ride they chose. I brought a book and was able to read most of it because I don't ride the coasters,Dr. Doom,River Adventure, etc.

I have learned to never believe anything you read in a trip report on trip advisor or yahoo.

The particular post you refer to was from 4/26/07.
But if you read the whole post, the person says they are going the next month, and this is just what they heard, they did not have it happen to them. Basically to my knowledge not true.

That reviewer sounds like a nut job.
Isn't it standard that check in is 11am, and rooms are ready no later than 4pm? We've lucked out a few times and got an early check-in. But, that's not something I count on.

There's 3-4 bad reviews, and 15 pages of 4-5 stars. Typically, when reviews are so lop-sided, you can just throw out the tiny amount of reviews that contradict the majority ruling. In other words, those peeps are nut jobs.

Of course reading them for S&G is fun.

I think you mean it is standard that check OUT is 11 am and yes that is true.
