My recommendation is to get in contact with Michael. He was/is a megarenter that relied heavily on the book/rebook loophole. He gave decent rates, but kept all the benefits to himself instead of passing them along. I know some people that had reservations with him that he emailed saying their reservations were being canceled because he could not make a huge profit. For megarenters that did not pass the savings along, it was a HUGE profit machine for them. Imagine renting a 2BR Dlx for $700 and only using 42,000 points. That amounts to $250 in maintenance fees. For each of these type of rentals, he is making $450. Other megarenters pass the savings on to their guests. They only charged $7/1,000 points they used. In other words, this same rental would have been around $300 @ $7/1,000 but would charge probably $400 for it.

I know there are many megarenters that are not happy with the new system. Their profit machine is gone, it will take some time to work out the kinks, and find ways to maximize their points. Outside of Value season, you won't see too many huge deals like in the past.
