Anyone Having Trouble Phoning Ms

Hi,

I have been trying to phone Member Services for the last 2 days and keep getting the engaged tone. Has anyone else had this problem and do we know why?

It's been that way a lot lately... I'd just keep trying a lot... I had to hit redial straight for like 2 minutes and then I got in... Waited 15 more minutes to have a 2 minute conversation...
 
If possible, try calling at 9AM. I did this last Friday, Sat, yesterday and today and got through right away. I am in the process of making day-by-day at VWL. My "trick" is to have dial both number with my cell before 9 and then hit redial at 9. It has worked each time so far.

I have been able to get through on the 407 number, but not the 800 number.
 

Many DVC members are trying to make their Christmas 2008 reservations this week and next. Things should die down by then.

I got the busy signal all morning, finally got through around noon, waited about 15 minutes, and made my 7th month reservations for late August and hung up.

THEN I remembered that I forgot something and had to call back. Busy again. Tried sporatically and finally got through again at around 3:30pm, on hold again about 15 minutes, and finished up what I forgot.
 
I tried today as well and got a busy signal each time. I'll try again tomorrow. Maybe it won't be as bad. :sad2:
 
I was told that it isn't just Holiday Reservations, but also that the Dues notifications recently went out and callers are selecting member services to discuss (and they then need to be transfered to member accounting, etc).
 
I tried calling yesterday, I got the busy signal for three hours straight. I decided to try the toll number (407 area code) and got through immediately, and had zero wait to speak with a representative. Hope that helps!
 
what is the 407 number? We have unlimited long distance so it would save lots of time .

Same here. I was trying to get through on the 800 number for an hour when I thought, let's just try the 407 number. I dialed and got right through on the first try!
 
I tried calling on the 22nd and it took a few times to get through. Once I got through, the lasted over 90 minutes. YES 90! I was on eternal hold while the CM was trying to transfer points from one account of ours to another. While on hold I tidied up the kitchen, read the newpaper, made and ate a snack, plus tidied some more. I called a little after 3:30 and was on the phone past 5:00pm.

So, if you can, wait until we get through the 11 month window for Christmas.
 
I just finished calling day by day for our Dec reservations. I had pretty good luck getting through on the 800# by calling right at 9 am (sometimes I even called too early and had to hang up and try again). But I noticed that if I got side tracked and didn't start calling until 9:10 or so it was much harder to get through. I just kept redialing constantly and would get through within about 10-15 minutes, then sat on hold another 10 or so.

Anyway, my 12/14-12/24 ressies are made, so I will be one less person tying up the phone lines for the rest of you tomorrow.

It took 35 attempts to get through on the 800 on Wednesday night. Last night I took your advice and got through the first time on 407.

Excellent idea! Got to keep that on file. Had a hard time last on the 22nd, too. I wonder if those whose use year starts on in June and the 4 month deadline to bank any points left in 2007 has added to the unavailability. (or am I misunderstanding the system-new member)
 
It worked for me every time. I just got done with an 8 night stay for VWL 2-br. Called everyday I could at 9 on the nose and never waited more then 5 minutes. Was off the phone by 9:10 each of the 6 days I called.

I also gave up on the 1-800 # after realizing I can get through ASAP using the 407#. I have free long distance so it doesn't matter to me!! :goodvibes
 
The lines for us have been busy getting all week, except this morning.
 
It's been that way for weeks now. It took me 45 minutes to get through and I was dialing and hanging up and dailing again the whole time. Good luck....
 
I called this morning to book August.. AT 9 am the 800 # was busy, hung up called the 407# got right through, booked my trip and asked a few questions and was off the phone by 9:06!!!
 
Hi,

I was on hold for about 10 minutes and then I got disconnected from member services. It made me so mad! Now, I am on hold again!
